Governance of global value chains after the Covid-19 pandemic: A new wave of regionalization?

The disruption of the trade and investment activities multinational enterprises as a consequence Covid-19 pandemic has reinvigorated debate on configuration global value chains (GVCs) well risks challenges associated with offshoring. This article depicts how might affect GVC by driving trend toward more regional footprint in industries which resilience reliability are critical. Such shift would create new opportunities for reshoring, both types upgrading trajectories governance systems chains. also draws from intersection global-strategy value-chain fields to propose potential topics avenues further research related these trends.
